Matchmaking

ADULT DOG WANTED

I have a nice couple who are looking to adopt a small adult dog.  Their little Chihuahua type dog passed away a while back.  They did not adopt for while as they were still travelling but now they feel it is time to fill that hole in their hearts. The dog would have a wonderful home in a townhome complex, lots of attention and daily walks.

If you know a little dog who would complete this family, please contact me.

HOMES NEEDED

Here is a letter forwarded to me by a friend:

Hi Everyone,

Samoyed
Fortunately and unfortunately Happy and I found a stray dog wandering in my neighbourhood at 11:30pm last night.  She is a beautiful Samoyed 2 years old.  She had a Parksville phone number, vet tag, and city dog license. ense.  I phoned the number and the vet to help track down her home.  She was given to a family in Cedar who decided that they didn't want her and dumped her in downtown Nanaimo to wander.  Fortunately we found her.  She is back in Parksville with her very upset  first family.  Unfortunately this family doesn't have the time to give her and she keeps escaping the yard as they work long hours and are never home.

My experience with her:  She comes when called, can sit, stay and lay down.  Very calm and respectful in the house, spent the night in Happy's Kennel and slept soundly beside my bed (she would have preferred the people bed).  Good manners in the kitchen at breakfast, she sat and waited for food and did not compete with Happy.  She has a very gentle mouth.  She pulls on the leash when walking.  I took her and Happy for an off leash walk and she stayed with us.  She didn't bark, growl  or show any aggression with other dogs.  Played with Happy.  She let me towel her off all over after the walk and trim the hair between her pads.  She even curled up at my feet when I was sitting on the couch (Happy didn't like this).  She was very well behaved in the car, she curled up and slept.  I only had her from 11:30pm until 1pm so just over 12 hours and she was great.  I would love to keep her if I had more space.

She needs a good home and family!  With a little love and time she could be AWESOME!!!

I have attached pictures.

Please put the word out she deserves the best.
