I have also trained an number of dogs who came from Mexico and from other rescue organizations.  Many of these dogs were abused or neglected but a number of them end up in rescues just because their families had a change in circumstance.  If you are looking to adopt, google the rescue organizations  before you go off purchasing dogs from some unknown backyard breeder.  You may find the partner you have always been looking for.
